2024 Bb Post Season

This form is due by 1/21.  It is used to register for post-season tournaments sponsored by the South Central District.

South Central Teams in Grades 5-8:  Please register even if you are not participating in post-season play.  If you are in an A or AB league, then we expect you to register for district playoffs.  If you are in another league, then you can register for the Tom Elder Tournament.  We want to be sure everyone is aware of these opportunities.

South County Teams in Grades 5-8:  If you are not eligible for district playoffs, please register even if you are not participating in the Tom Elder Tournament.  We want to be sure everyone is aware of this opportunity.

The South Central Tom Elder tournament is sponsored for teams in grades 5-8 not in A or AB leagues.  Teams in A or AB leagues are expected to participate in district playoffs.

For South Central, the dates for district playoffs are Wed 2/21 thru Sun 2/25.

For the Tom Elder Tournament, the dates are Wed 2/21 thru Sun 2/25 and Wed 2/28 thru Sun 3/3.  The placement of games is based on available gym space and the number of competing teams.

Teams are placed in brackets based on results in the first half of the season.

If you are playing a 1.5 schedule, then you are entitled to one entry in the tournament based on your record in the league where you are playing the full schedule.

If you are playing a 2.0 schedule, then you can divide your team into two separate teams each competing based on your record in one of the leagues.  If only one team will compete, the assumption is you would compete per your record in the higher league.  If you are playing a 2.0 schedule, please complete the form for each team.

We expect teams to be available most of the two weekends.  A team can be playing 2 games on Sat and/or Sun depending on the number of participants and available gym time.  Teams may play on Wed, Thu, or Fri night also.  Do not sign up for the tournament if the athletes on your team are competing in a variety of events on the weekends of the tournament.  If we cannot accommodate your team based on the submitted conflicts, then we will not place your team in a bracket.

The goal is to publish schedules in the beginning of February so teams know when games are being played.

Please complete the form by Sun 1/21 to indicate whether your team will be participating.  We would like responses from everyone so we know who wants to participate in the event.

We expect no conflicts to be submitted after this form is submitted.  Please check for high school testing, school events, and church events including retreats and Confirmation activities.  If you have a sufficient number of players, we expect you to not indicate that time frame as a conflict.
