Fall Dance

Tumble Time
An introduction to basic ballet and gymnastics. Participants will use tumbling mats and learn simple terminology. On the last day of class, dancers will give a short performance to present their new skills.

Tricks & Kicks
In this class we will be learning more about flexibility and exploring tumbling skills. We will be using a combination of jazz basics and gymnastics to choreograph a dance to show their friends and family at the end of the session.

Rhythm & Movement
Students will be introduced to jazz and hip-hop in an age-appropriate style. They will explore the fundamentals of jazz and hip-hop, and learn about moving to the rhythm of the music. Students will give a short performance on the last day of class so their family can see what they’ve learned.

Our Instructors

Brandy Herweyer
I'm a 26 year old from Bloomingdale, Michigan. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and a dance minor from Western Michigan University. I've been dancing for about 22 years and teaching dance for 8 years. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, spending time at the beach, and snuggling with my 2 cats. I love sharing my passion for dance with others and teaching my students a skill that I love.

Anya Wolters
Hi! My name is Anya Wolters and I am a freshman at Hope College, where I am currently studying Social Work and Dance. I have been dancing for about 13 years and this will be my second year as an instructor. In my free time, I love to listen to music, play guitar, spend time outdoors, hangout with friends, and of course, dance! I am so excited to share my love for dance with your children.
