Pickleball Instruction
Come learn the fastest growing sport in America. Clinics & camps will take place at various times and locations between May - September. Visit the Holland Parks & Recreation website to learn more about specific clinic levels and descriptions. Deadlines and fees vary depending on class. All clinics will be led by qualified instructors and aim to expand participants' knowledge of the game. Offerings available for beginner players through advanced players. For this class, you will need a pickleball paddle, but a limited amount of paddles on hand for you to use if you do not yet have one. Balls will be provided.
Class Descriptions
Brand New Beginners Clinic: In this class we will introduce you to the game of pickleball. Coaching includes rules, scoring and learning the basic strokes of pickleball. For this class, you will need a pickleball paddle. However a limited number of paddles will be on hand for you to use if you don't yet have one.
Advanced Beginners Clinic: This pickleball class is geared toward the pickleballer in the 2.5 range. In this class we will work on adding to the basic strokes of pickleball - serving, returning the serve, third shot drops and dinking.
Intermediate Power Clinic: In this 3.0 - 3.5 level class, we will focus on strategy using power shots- such as an aggressive serve, drives, punches, overheads, attacks, etc. This class will help you understand when speeding up the ball is appropriate and why. We will also look at set-up shots, along with a few spin shots. Safety glasses are recommended due to this being geared towards power shots, but not required.
