Tulip Planting Program
This fall, join Holland Parks & Recreation for our Tulip Planting Program! Over the course of four weeks, participants will work alongside the City of Holland Greenhouse staff and Parks crew to prepare flower beds, fertilize, and plant tulip bulbs throughout the community. This is a unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into Holland’s famous tulip displays while also connecting with others who enjoy giving back and making our city shine. At the conclusion of the program, participants will enjoy a light refreshment hour to celebrate their work, and each person will receive a special Tulip Planting pin as a thank-you for their efforts.

Holiday Wreathmaking
Learn to create festive wreaths for your home. Join Parks Staff in the City Greenhouse for a wreath-making workshop! Attendees will create a 18" winter wreath using evergreen and natural elements, many of which are found in our local parks! Hands-on instruction, materials, and festive refreshments will be provided.

Hand Piecing A Quilt - Beginner Style
Hand piecing a quilt has always been a popular form of completing a quilt, as it is easier on your hands than english paper piecing, and you can do intricate designs with Y seams. This beginner class will send you on your way with the readiness and skills of hand piecing, and you will be hooked for sure. Great project for on the go. Let’s get started. Women's Self Defense
This class is an entry-level self-defense course that requires no previous martial arts training. We will discuss situational awareness and the impact awareness has on you and a potential assailant. We will discuss responses to low, medium, and high threat situations and work in repetition on the techniques necessary for the best outcome.
