Youth Volleyball

All coaches are mprb certified to ensure every participant will play in a safe, knowledgeable and friendly atmosphere. All leagues will focus on learning the fundamentals of volleyball, reaching individual and team goals  while having fun in the process. Sign up today to get started!

LEAGUE INFORMATION

NEED TO KNOW

 

  • Season Games = October-December
  • Ages range from 9-18yrs.
  • Invitational Tournaments for 13U, 15U & 18U
  • All games officiated by MPRB certified officials
  • The wearing of jewelry by players is addressed in a change to Rule 4-1-7, which now states that all jewelry must be removed, except small, secured studs or posts worn above the chin. No jewelry is permitted below the chin, including string bracelets, commemorative bracelets and body jewelry. In addition, taping over jewelry is not permitted. This rule change aligns high school rules with NCAA rules on the wearing of jewelry.

Registration Reminders

 

  • Register in Person: Contact your local Recreation Center directly for Youth Sports League registration information and details
  • Only Minneapolis teams are eligible for Youth Sports programs
  • 80% of team members must live within the Minneapolis city limits


 

Recreation Fee Assistance

 

  • Minneapolis residents who cannot afford to pay instructional fees due to economic needs may apply for Recreation Fee Assistance
  • Candidate may apply through the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Fee Assistance Program
