Message to the Managers:
Thank you for choosing MPRB adult sports!
All managers must read the guidelines carefully before registering.
What you will need to know!
- Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.
- Waiting List: If the league is full, you can add your team to the waiting list at no cost or choose another league. Your team will be contacted if a spot becomes available.
- Sponsor Checks: will be accepted at MPRB Headquarters in place of online registration. Please note: we are unable to hold a spot without payment. In order to hold a spot, teams will need to register for a league using a credit card.
- A refund will be issued once the sponsor check is received.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
- All participants must be 18 years or older.
- All players must adhere to the sport rules and rules listed in the MPRB sport guidelines.
- Participants waive, release, & discharge any & all claims for damages for personal injury, death, or property damage which may have, or which may hereafter accrue to players, as a result of participation from this activity.
- Teams must remain in good standing with the MPRB athletic program.
- Sport specific rules will be available on the team pages of this website.
- Schedules and standings will be posted on our website and emailed to managers a minimum of one week prior to the season start date.
GAME SCHEDULES
- Uniforms: Check our sport specific rules for uniform guidelines.
- Questionable Weather:
- Check the Game / Program Status (Weather) page for weather updates
- We want you to play all of your scheduled games. MPRB league directors monitor the weather daily and do or best to make decisions by 4:30pm on weekday games. Weekends we do our best to update two hours prior to game time. If weather worsens after that time, they will be called at the game location. We will do our best to notify teams of cancellations later in the evening.
Divisions:
We offer leagues in the following divisions:
- Women: Specifically, for women.
- Men: Specifically, for men.
- Co-Ed: There will be a male/female requirement for this division.
- Open: There are no gender requirements for this division (LGBTQ+ and allies). Everyone is welcome!
These leagues are for adults 18 years of age or older.
Gender Assignment for Sports Leagues: If your gender identity does not match your sex assignment, please
contact the league director prior to the start of the season. You can ask for more information about this
inclusive plan or share your ideas with the policymakers by contacting the league director.

Duties of Team Managers:

Managers are liaisons between the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and their teams.
- Managers are required to be available via phone / email on all game days or provide the MPRB
league director contact information of someone who will be available and onsite.
- The office MUST be informed of any change of manager during the season.
- Online registration & payment
- Forfeits are highly discouraged. If your team has to forfeit, please contact the league director & opposing manager. See below for forfeit deadlines and procedures.

- Responsible for providing players information when requested by games officials and/or league director. (i.e. ejections and/or injuries)
- Reading rules and regulations governing our athletic leagues.
Conduct:
- Sportsmanlike conduct is expected of all players, coaches, and managers. The referee has the power to remove any
offender.
- Managers only are allowed to address the officials regarding concerns.
- No players (including managers) may make profane or vulgar remarks to officials, opponents or spectators.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
- League Directors have the right to administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Disciplinary actions may include ejection, suspension and/or removal of the league.
Forfeits:
- If during play a team becomes incomplete due to disqualification or expulsion of a player, and substitution cannot be made, the team loses the match/game by default.
- If for any reason, you cannot make your scheduled game, be considerate enough to notify the league director and your opponent.
- Weekday Games: Please notify by 12pm game day
- Weekend Games: Please notify by 4pm on Thursday
- Managers have the ability to see the contact information for other managers in their league when logged into their Team Sideline account. This should only be used to contact an opposing manager due to a forfeit. The league director MUST be included in this communication.
- Two forfeits and you can be removed from the league.
Free Agent List:
Looking for additional players? Contact the League Director for a list of individuals looking to play (Free Agent List). Individuals looking to get placed on a team can register as a Free Agent. Free Agent information will be passed along to teams needing players or if enough individuals register, an attempt will be made to organize a team from the Free Agent list. Registering as a Free Agent will not guarantee a spot on a team. Registering as a free agent will not guarantee a spot on a team.
Alcohol & Tobacco:
- Alcohol consumption is not allowed in parks unless it is served at a Minneapolis Park and Recreation
Board eatery licensed to serve alcohol, or you have a special use permit.
- The Park Police will monitor game sites and will issue tickets for anyone drinking intoxicating
beverages or beer.
- The use of tobacco products, including electronic delivery devices, on Minneapolis Park and
Recreation Board lands and in Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board owned and/or operated
facilities is prohibited.
- This includes, but is not limited to, playgrounds, athletic fields, beaches,
aquatic areas, lakes and rivers, ice skating rinks, parks, walking/hiking/biking trails, restaurants,
maintenance support facilities, the MPRB Headquarters, golf courses, and temporary work zones
such as the street right-of-way among others.
Parking:
- All Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board or City of Minneapolis pay lots, meters and/or any other parking fees
are the sole responsibility of the user. Being a participant in an MPRB athletic league does not guarantee free
parking. The MPRB athletic department is providing the service of athletic league play only.
- Lost & Stolen Items: The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is not responsible for lost or stolen items. If you encounter any suspicious or illegal activity, please call 911 right away.
Photography Agreement:
The Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board (MPRB) staff and photographers occasionally take
photographs and/or video of park activities and services (classes, programs, events, facility use,
sports/athletic games, etc.) to be used for increasing awareness and use of the park
system. Participation in MPRB league sports grants permission to the Minneapolis Park & Recreation
Board (MPRB) and anyone authorized by the MPRB to use and reproduce any and all photographic
images and/or video that you have taken of participants and players for any purpose whatsoever
(including, but not limited to, promotional materials and videos, brochures, publications, social media,
MPRB website, City of Minneapolis cable channel, news releases, advertising or display) without further
compensation to me.
If an individual wishes to not be photographed, they may simply let the photographer know, if one is
present.
Discrimination Information:
If anyone believes he or she has been subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, religion,
ancestry, national origin, sex, affectional preference, disability, marital status, or status with regard to public
assistance he or she may file a complaint alleging to discrimination with the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board
