Youth Hockey

youth hockey is geared for recreational or beginning level play and emphasizes having fun while learning the fundamentals of hockey. The organized leagues teach kids to skate, the rules of hockey and importance of teamwork. Hockey is a great sport to develop physical strength, technique, coordination and agility while meeting new friends. Registration begins October 23rd. Sign up now to get started!

Registration Reminders

 

  • Please contact your local Recreation Center directly for Youth Sports League registration information and details
  • Only Minneapolis teams are eligible for Youth Sports programs
  • 80% of team members must live within Minneapolis city limits

Recreation Fee Assistance

 

  • Minneapolis residents who cannot afford instructional fee because of economic needs may apply for Recreation Fee Assistance
  • Applicants may apply through Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board Fee Assistance Program
