Rainbow Volleyball League - Fall - Fall 2024

This is an established volleyball league for the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board. The teams entering this league must have pre-approval and a password to register.

Adult Pickleball Lessons - Fall - Fall 2024

Intro to Pickleball - This 4 week class meets for 2 hours each session. The class is intended for those new to the game of pickleball. Participants will learn the basics of the game and develop skills to advance their pickleball game.

• Tuesday's September 3rd- 24th 9am-11am Dickman Park 
• Thursday's September 5th - 26th - Aug 1st 9am-11am  Lake Nokomis

Intro to Pickleball 2 - This 4 week class meets for 2 hours each session. The class is intended for those who have completed Into to Pickleball or are already familiar with the game. Participants will focus on drills, strategy and games intended on improving your pickleball game.

Adult Tennis - Fall: Tennis in your Park - Fall 2024

Tennis SERVES Up Fun in Minneapolis!

Lessons will be 60-minutes & Drill & Play program will be 75-minutes each for 5 weeks.

Classes will be taught by USTA-trained instructors.

Adult Tennis Bulletin

Beginner - For those who have little or no tennis experience.  Learn the basic strokes & begin to rally. All participants will be given a new Wilson tennis racquet.

Advanced Beginner - For those who know the basic strokes & are working further on ball tracking, movement & consistency.  

Intermediate – For those continuing to develop their stroke consistency and accuracy while learning net play, court coverage and match strategy. 

Drill and Play – This class is for players who have some tennis experience & know basic strokes & game scoring. This will be a mix of organized hitting & match play.

Pickleball 2 hour Class Options - Fall 2024

Pickleball Basics- This 2 hour class is designed to cover the basics of Pickleball. After completing this class participants will be able to understand how to play the game and able to go out and play with family and friends.

Coached While You Play- Want to take your game to the next level? During this two hour session participants will receive real time personal coaching to assist you with improving your game.

Thursday Cornhole League - Fall 2024

Grab your friends and a enjoy great night of playing Cornhole in one of our beautiful downtown parks Thursday's in September! Owamni's outdoor Wakpa Bar will be available with a selection of wine and beer for purchase along with small plates and snacks including elk skewers and bison birria tacos!

Fall session will be a recreational league at Water Works at Mill Ruins Park (425 West River Parkway, Minneapolis MN, 55401). This adult doubles league requires a minimum of two people per team, only one registration per team required. You will play a total of 3 games each night of the league. When the sun begins to set we will turn on the lights on our cornhole boards!

Fall Session: Thursday's 4 week league starting 9/5/24 - 9/26/24, 6pm - 7:30pm

Adult Basketball - Fall - Fall 2024

Five-on-five leagues are played under National Federation rules. MPRB Basketball leagues offer competition, fun, exercise and are a great way to socialize while staying in shape. Each team is guaranteed 9 weeks of play (including tournament).  All games have MPRB certified officials.

We offer recreational level league play. D Division: Players with knowledge of offensive and defensive plays, possess the basic skills of the sport and who have received some basketball coaching. Depending on space availability we may offer Upper D & Lower D league play. Upper D offered for participants looking for more competition and a higher skill level.

Divisions Offered: Women's, Men's, Co-Ed, & Open (All genders)

Our Adult Basketball Individual Registration program offers an exciting opportunity for adults to join our vibrant basketball community. Register as an individual player and immerse yourself in games, improve your skills, and build lasting connections with fellow basketball enthusiasts. Our recreational league play will provide a fun and slightly competitive environment to enjoy the game of basketball.

This program is for individuals looking to join a basketball team.

After completing registration, MPRB league directors will form up to 4 basketball teams for a 9 week season with officiated games.

You will have the opportunity to register for a Men's team on Tuesday evenings or an Open team (no gender restrictions) on Saturday evenings.

You will have an opportunity to submit a friend request.

Adult Flag Football - Fall 2024

Get together with friends and join a Women's, Men's or Co-Ed Flag Football League. We follow MPRB rules 6-person play. All games will be officiated by MPRB officials. Leagues will be played on a 70x30 field on Thursday evenings at Parade Stadium! Enjoy flag football under the lights with downtown Minneapolis as your backdrop!

Adult Indoor Volleyball Fall - Fall 2024

Get together with friends and join a Co-Ed, Women's, Men's or Open Volleyball League. Leagues are split into divisions according to difficulty. USAV Rules are enforced with MPRB modifications. All matches will be officiated by MPRB officials. Matches will consist of three sets with rally scoring up to 25. All 3 sets count in the standings.

Our Open B league will provide a fun and slightly competitive environment to enjoy the game of volleyball.

This program is for individuals looking to join a volleyball team on Sundays between 4pm & 7pm at Matthews Rec Center. 

After completing registration, MPRB league directors will form 4 to 8 volleyball teams for a 9 week season with officiated games.

You will have an opportunity to submit a friend request.

Free Agent - Fall Sports - Fall 2024

Are you an individual looking to get placed on a team? Register as a Free Agent. Your information will be passed along to teams needing players. If enough individuals register, an attempt will be made to organize a team from the Free Agent list.

By registering as a free agent you are not guaranteed to be placed on a team. This is a non-refundable fee. If you are asked to join a team you may be subject to paying a portion of the team entry fee (determined by the team).

If you want to be included on more than one free agent list, you must register for each sport individually.

Sport Leagues Include: Basketball, Bocce, Cornhole, Flag Football, Kickball, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball (Indoor).

Adult Bocce Ball - Doubles League - Fall 2024

Grab your friends and a enjoy great night of playing Bocce Ball in one of our beautiful downtown parks! This league is played on grass courts that are undeveloped (i.e. not entirely level ground). All skill levels are welcome for this unique game in our small urban park. You will play a total of 3 games each night of the league. This adult doubles league requires a minimum of two people per team, only one registration per team required.

All sessions will be recreational leagues at North Loop Park (731 N 3rd St, Minneapolis, MN 55401) from 5:45pm - 7:15pm

Adult Sand Volleyball Summer - Wirth Crts - Summer 2024

Join our league for 9 weeks of great volleyball! We offer leagues for ALL levels. 

All games are played at Wirth Lake Beach: 3200 Glenwood Ave, Mpls, MN 55405

Please note: Parking is limited at the facility. It is not legal to park on Glenwood Ave, people that choose to park on Glenwood could be ticketed. Check the bulletin for additional parking lots nearby. We recommend participants carpool to the facility.
