Spring Pickleball Refresher:

Get ready for Spring and Summer pickleball with our refresher class. Ideal for new players or those looking to gain confidence in their skills before the Summer season begins.

• Build a foundation in fundamentals: grip, serving, groundstrokes, dinks, and volleys

Adult Soccer League Play:

Looking to join a league but don’t have a team? Register as an individual to be placed on a house team!

After registration, MPRB league directors will form teams from individual registrants for our four-week spring leagues at Neiman Sports Complex.

Teams Offered:

• 6x6 Team: Sunday Open Rec (Game times from 1-6 pm)
• 11x11 Team: Sunday Co-Ed Rec (Game times from noon to 8:45 pm)

Free Agent: Spring / Summer - Spring 2025

We are using a new system for free agent registration! 

Your $10 free agent registration fee will now allow you to register as a free agent for as many sports as you would like!

To get set up, complete your registration and pay the $10 fee. In your receipt, you will receive links to free agent contact information forms for each sport we offer. Fill out your contact information and preferences on the form for the sport(s) you would like to play. We will share your contact information with managers in each sport that you submit a form for!

By registering, your information will be shared with team managers looking to add players to their rosters and/or subs. 

Please note:

• Registration as a Free Agent does not guarantee placement on a team.
• This is a non-refundable fee.
• If you're invited to join a team, you may be asked to contribute to the team entry fee, determined by the team.

Adult Sand Volleyball: Totally 80s Sand Tournament - Spring 2025

Get ready to bump, set, and spike at the ultimate 1980s-themed adult sand volleyball tournament, where neon spandex, sweatbands, and retro jams set the vibe. Teams will battle it out on the sand while enjoying throwback tunes and contests for the most radical '80s look and team name. Whether you're here to compete or just soak in the nostalgia, this tournament promises a totally tubular day of fun in the sun!

• Co-Ed 4s & 6s Upper B Level Teams (9am to 2:30pm)
• Co-Ed 6s B Level Team (2:30pm to 8pm)

Adult Sand Volleyball Spring - Wirth - Spring 2025

Get together with friends and join a Sand Volleyball League. Leagues are split into divisions according to difficulty. Division description is listed in the bulletin.

USAV Rules are enforced with MPRB modifications. All matches for 4 and 6 person leagues will be officiated by MPRB officials. Matches will consist of three sets with rally scoring up to 25. All 3 sets count in the standings. 2 person leagues will be self-officiated.

Adult Sand Volleyball - Player Registration - Summer 2025

Our adult volleyball individual registration program offers an exciting opportunity for adults to join our vibrant volleyball community. Register as an individual player and immerse yourself in thrilling matches, improve your skills, and build lasting connections with fellow volleyball players.

Leagues Offered

• Our Open B league will provide a fun and slightly competitive environment to enjoy the game of volleyball.
• Our Open C league will provide a fun and recreational environment to enjoy the game of volleyball.
• Open: No gender requirements for this league

This program is for individuals looking to join a volleyball team on Thursdays between 5:30pm & 8:30pm at Bohemian Flats Park.

After completing registration, MPRB league directors will form up volleyball teams for a 7-week season with officiated games.

You will have an opportunity to submit a friend request.

Adult Broomball Spring League - Spring 2025

Join our indoor broomball league to keep the fun going all spring long! Leagues are open to anyone ages 18 and up. Broomball is similar to ice hockey, but is played with shoes instead of skates, uses a ball rather than a puck and broom-shaped sticks versus regular hockey sticks. The objective of the game is to try to score more goals than your opponent. Gather your friends, bring your brooms and hit the ice.

Adult Kickball - Spring 2025

Adult Kickball leagues are a good social gathering opportunity while getting exercise in the great outdoors. It's a great way to stay active and enjoy time with friends, family and coworkers. Leagues are offered Sundays through Thursdays. Join the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board for adult kickball leagues today.

League Fees: $100.00 for 9 weeks (*ONE registration per TEAM*)

Spring League Dates: April 21 - June 30 (Match times shift later after the first week of June)

Levels Offered:

• Beginner: Little to no pickleball experience; learning basic strokes and beginning to rally; working on serving and volleying (Skill Level 1-1.5)
• Beginner Plus: Teams that have played in the beginner league or have played socially, looking to build on skills and gain comfort on the court before advancing to intermediate (Skill Level 2-2.5)
• Intermediate: Teams who know the basic strokes and are working on improving consistency in ball tracking, court movement, and strokes; ready for introductory social match play (Skill Level 2.5-3)
• Advanced: Teams working on stroke consistency and accuracy, while building on aggressive net play, court coverage, and match strategy; ready for organized competitive play (Skill Level 3+)

Adult Soccer: Players' Clinic - Spring 2025

Join our adult soccer clinic for an exhilarating blend of skill development, strategic gameplay, and a vibrant community atmosphere. Designed for players of all levels, our program offers expert coaching to enhance your technique, tactical understanding, and overall performance on the field. Immerse yourself in a supportive and fun environment that fosters both individual growth and team camaraderie, making every session a rewarding experience for soccer enthusiasts.

This is a 4 week clinic at Northeast Ice / Turf Arena.

Thursday evenings 3/20 to 4/10

Session 1: 6:30pm to 7:45pm

Session 2: 7:45pm to 9pm

Grab your friends and enjoy 4 weeks of season play outdoors at our our Neiman Sports Complex starting April 27th and wrapping up on May 18th. Enjoy action packed 60 minute (6x6) and 90 minute (11x11) games with MPRB certified officials.

Adult Softball Co-Ed Lgs (Doubleheaders) - Spring 2025

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board offers recreational co-ed adult softball leagues. All of our leagues are sanctioned by USA Softball. Softball games take place at various locations throughout the city of Minneapolis. Leagues are offered Sunday through Friday. Spring session will be April - July and fall sessions will be August - October.

Division Classifications:

Division D

Competitive (Comp)- Experienced players and team. Won league or placed high in league or Metro Tournament

Intermediate (Int)- Experienced team and players

Recreational (Rec) A few experienced players but mostly out for fun

Leisure (Leis) Main focus is to have fun with no runs per inning restriction

Division E

Main focus is to have fun and not as competitive. The half inning is over after 6 runs have scored. Rule can be waived if both teams agree.

Division Open

No gender requirements for this league

• Official Ball: 52COR 300 compression
• Official Bats: Please check USA Softball Certified Equipment for a current list of approved and banned bats.
