Middle school softball information

First Week of Practice: All teams have now held their first practice and you should have heard from your coach at this point.
First Week of Games: Games will begin the week of April 14. Games will be held during the week, Monday - Thursday.
Final Week of Games: Games will finish the week of May 19.

Game Time: The majority of the games will be played at 5:30 PM. Some games may be played earlier but will be noted in advanced.
West Michigan League: The middle school softball league is a West Michigan league. This means that there will be some travel outside of Holland for game days.
Picture Information: Picture information is still being finalized. Once the picture days are finalized, an email will be sent to participants.
Game Cancellations: If games are cancelled due to inclement weather, you can view all cancellations on the cancellation page at the link below. An email will also be sent out to all participants. An effort is made to make the call by 4:30 PM on game days at the latest. Cancellation Page
Equipment Needed: Participants are responsible for black softball pants, cleats, and softball glove. Holland Recreation will provide team visors, jerseys, catcher's gear, and batting helmets.
Game Jerseys: Games jerseys will be handed out at a practice before the first game of the season.
Special Requests: Special requests for team placement are only granted for siblings or extenuating circumstances.
Team Formation: Teams are formed by school. If more than one team for a certain school can be formed, an evaluation day will be had to divide teams up as balanced as possible. All children who are registered are placed on a team.
