How to participate 

Write, create, or buy a Valentine's Card and send it to 516 Montrose St., Lufkin, Tx 75901. 

Personalize a card with heartfelt words addressed to friends of Hospice in the Pines. 

Here are some reminders when sending letters:

 1. Letters should be gender-neutral so the cards can go to anyone. 

2. Letters must be legible (large print), handwritten, and include no glitter. No worries if you’re not artistic– make your card what you’d like to receive. 

3. Embrace creativity! Recipients love it when the letters are personal. We encourage you to make your letters colorful and fun– photos, crosswords, and drawings are great! 

4.. Be kind & thoughtful. You can include a return address, but please do not expect a letter back. We want to ensure recipients aren’t burdened by feeling obligated or unable to respond.

The Lufkin Parks & Recreation would like to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day as we wrap up the Val-O-Grams online event. We are excited to see schools, daycares, churches, and individual community members participate in spreading love and joy to Hospice in the Pines patients via the Val-O-Gram event. We received over 300 letters/cards from all over Angelina County. Thank you, and Happy Valentine's Day!
