We would like to invite everyone out to Opening Day on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Morris Frank Park! This exciting event includes all divisions, from Prep-T to Majors, as we kick off the season together. Opening Day marks the first day of games, picture day, and a fun-filled family day! Please be aware that Morris Frank Park is currently under construction, and some areas and entrances to the park may be closed. Please follow all posted signs for your safety and smooth navigation around the park.
Games will begin immediately after the ceremony and continue throughout the day. We look forward to celebrating with you and kicking off a great season! Please let us know if you have any questions.
• 9:30 AM: Players arrive and get into position to walk onto the field. • Players should wear their uniform but do not need to bring a glove or bat into the ceremony.
• Upon arrival, players should find their coach, who will guide them to the player-holding area. (Field4)
• As team names are announced, coaches will lead their players onto the field.
• 10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony begins – we will announce all teams and sponsors, play the National Anthem, and have a ceremonial first pitch thrown by Mr. Bud Maddux in honor of his 50 years of service to the baseball community. After the ceremony, teams will exit the field to begin their games.
• Free bounce houses & photo booth for families to enjoy.
• Craft and food vendors (available for purchase) are open until 4:00 PM.
• Live DJ providing entertainment throughout the day.
Only coaches and volunteers who have successfully completed a background check with the City of Lufkin and the Abuse Awareness Training are permitted to assist with any teams. This rule applies to all interactions with "Team Parents," "Snack Parents," or substitute coaches. If you have any questions regarding field access, please contact us as soon as possible.
•Pictures will be taken on-site in the locker room by the main entrance across from the playground
• Players will take individual pictures • Every player should take a picture regardless of if they plan on purchasing a photo

•The concession stand will open at 9:30 am and close 30 minutes into the last game of the day.
