Question: Can I pick which team my child plays for or make sure they are on a team with a friend?
Answer: 1st/2nd grade will be broken down by school in hopes that they will have a friend on their team. 3rd/4th grade will be broken down by school district and then have an evaluation to help create balanced teams. 5th/6th grade will be broken down by school district.
Question: What team is my child on?
Answer: Coaches will contact their players once they receive their rosters. 5th/6th and 3rd/4th grade will know by Friday, August 16th. 1st/2nd grade will know by Thursday, August 15.
Question: When is the first game?
Answer: Games begin after Labor Day Weekend. 3rd-6th grade games begin on Saturday, September 7th. 1st/2nd grade games begin either Tuesday, September 10th or Thursday, September 12th.
Question: How do I know if games or practices are canceled due to weather?
Answer: Coaches will communicate when practices are canceled as this is their decision. Games are canceled by Holland Recreation and will be communicated through email. We do our best to notify participants at least one hour prior to their game. Additionally, the Holland Recreation cancelation page is available for you to check at your convenience.
Question: How many practices will my child have a week and when will they be?
Answer: Practice nights and times are determined by the volunteer coaches for 3rd-6th grade. 3rd/4th grade teams will practice 1-2 times a week. 5th/6th grade teams will practice 2-4 times a week. 1st/2nd grade teams will practice on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays and their time will be determined by their volunteer coach.
