History
This facility was originally known as the 22nd Street Field. This facility included a baseball field and football field. Joe Moran, who was Holland High School’s Boys Tennis Coach for over 25 years, established the lighted tennis courts at this facility, which was unprecedented at that time. This was done during Joe Moran’s employment as the City of Holland Recreation Director. Originally, tennis was not allowed to be played at this facility on Sundays.
Joseph Moran Park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
A new community focused recreation center will be coming to the City of Holland, and we are in the early planning stages of the process. Currently, Holland Parks & Recreation is looking for community input on the recreation center conceptual plan. Please take a moment to complete the survey below.
